Coconut in the Roaring 40s

Hey all, just a quick one to point out that I have added a special page especially for my kitten Waggles – just click on the tab on my page header above or click here. I kinda wanted to make it like a blog within a blog, with most recent picture posts at the top but haven't figured out how to do that yet (assuming its at all possible in WP).

Also I have tidied up my links in the sidebar. That was a bit overdue. Was looking very cluttered.

Was about to say that there is not much going on at the mo', but that's not strictly correct. My mother is in the country at the moment – she has been in Cairns visiting my brother, then in a small country town west of Brisbane visiting her own mother over the weekend, and now I believe she is actually in Brisbane now visiting various siblings and sister-in-laws. I am kinda frustrated that she has gotten hold of a prepaid mobile, like I asked her to when she first arrived in Oz, so I could call her where ever she is. I think I have to literally buy a phone myself and give it to her. Which I may get the chance to – while she has been visiting family all over Queensland, she has also been having meetings with various dive tour agencies to drum up business for my bro's business, and she is planning on flying to Sydney next week to do more of the same. She has suggested rather than her coming all the way down to Tasmania, I fly up to spend a few days keeping her company in Sydney. She wants to go stay in a backpacker hostel to see what they're like and all. Anyway, I am still thinking about it – I would really prefer her to come see my place down here in Tas, but I realise she does only have a given amount of time in Oz and it will be kinda difficult to squeeze in a trans-Tasman jaunt on top of everything. And hey, I haven't been to Sydney before (the airport doesn't count) so its not a bad idea…

Anyway I am holding out on making a decision until Tuesday – which is important b/c the Socceroos play Italy for a place in the World Cup quarter-finals at 1am. And while I would love to see them go thru… a certain local budget airline is gonna offer 5000 seats for $5 each, if Australia gets knocked out. So if they get knocked out, fingers crossed I can get my hands on some really cheap airfares
