Coconut in the Roaring 40s

I know I said I would post stuff re: the progress of my broken ankle a few days ago, but this week has been hectic, so I figured I would do a proper update after i get my 4-month post-break x-ray tomorrow. Hopefully the clinic will let me take home my x rays so I can post a pic of it here.

Briefly tho, my ankle is pretty good these days. I still have a fair bit of muscle to regain in my calf, from having it immobile for so long, and the ankle swells everyday. It doesn't hurt, only when I do something silly and forget I have a weak ankle that I get a sharp reminder . The break wasn't too bad at all, but my physio reckons I snapped one of my tendons, and that takes longer to heal, thus the weakness.

Anyway, I will blog properly about it tomorrow. Catchya then.

I noticed that I have had a few hits lately from searchers looking the tag 'broken ankle', So I thought I would post an update, especially since my original post was on my first blog. And I know when I first broke my ankle I was scouring the web for days trying to find info on it.

Briefly, I broke the very tip of my left fibula in February 2006. I rolled my ankle while hopping into a boat. For a proper recap, check the following links to my previous posts out. Included are pics of my X-rays and my walking caste, boot, darth, whatever you want to call it .

Okay, I need to head to bed now, but I'll post an update on how my ankle is going tomorrow. I also have a another follow-up x-ray in a week or two, so I promise to post pics of that too.
